Ooops I did it again!

Miss Ghazarian's worst nightmares!!

So you have just handed in your ERA and it's all behind you. You are feeling a sense of relief, but being your first ERA, you are also feeling a little anxious... how did you do???

Considering this was your first ERA, the overall performance was impressive. Well done guys! BUT... (yes there is one), THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.

Here were a few things that made Miss Ghazarian pull her hair out... well not literally, but just about!
  • Always make sure that you include the IV and DV in your title.
  • Make sure that the 'abstarct' title begins one third of the way down the page.
  • FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE WHITE SHEET!!!
  • Mention the type of sample in the 'participants' section of the Method.
  • Make sure that you operationalise the hypothesis.
  • Don't forget to include citations within the introduction and the discussion sections when required. (e.g. (Grivas & Carter, 2005).
  • Make sure that when you discuss the results in the 'discussion' section, you reflect back onto the theory, does it support the theory or not??

To be continued...
